Are You Drinking Enough Water?

Water is vital to our health!

"I don't like to drink water"
"It doesn't taste good"
"I can't drink that much"
"I drink other liquids, so I'm ok"

These are just a few excuses we hear as to why people aren't drinking enough water on a daily basis.

I know we've all heard how our bodies are 60% water and how staying hydrated helps our bodies function correctly, but somewhere along the line many people decide that it's not really that important.

But it is!
Drinking water helps with digestion, absorption of vitamins and minerals, clear thinking and focus (concentration), maintenance of body temperature, good energy levels, headache prevention, regular bowel movements, kidney stone prevention, curbing hunger, flushing out toxins, clear skin tone..........and the list could go on and on.

Having trouble getting enough water in?
(The average amount is 64ozs. per day)

Here are some tips:

  • Add some flavor to your water, such as Lemon, Cucumber, Mint, etc
  • Fill a water bottle first thing in the morning and have your water handy all day
  • Set the timer on your phone to alert you every 1.5 hours and drink 8 ozs. each time it goes off
  • Make sure your water is at a temperature you like (ice cold, cold, room temperature, hot) - you will be more likely to drink it if you like it!
Having enough water in our bodies really is important and you are encouraged to increase your consumption to stay healthy :-)
