Why not learn something new today?

Proverbs 4:7 says:

“The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding."
I am always on a quest to learn something new - to expand my understanding and to get to know myself better through this knowledge and understanding.
Sometimes we can be afraid to get to know ourselves, because we think it might shake our foundations or make us uncertain of who we really are.
In reality, the opposite is actually true.  As we get to know ourselves better we become more certain of our identity and if we will allow ourselves to face the truth, we will discover our exact purpose, our specific reason for existence, and the precise way we came into existence.
One of my favorite quotes is taken from a missions book written by Leah Mthwembe, a Pastor in Africa:
"To know God means that you know who you are,
                                                    where you came from,  and
where you are going after this life."
I encourage you to join me on this quest, and in the process we will learn how to fulfill our purpose through a healthy and functional life!
