Thankful For Western Medicine

Sometimes in the Holistic Healthcare arena we forget to stop and thank the Doctors, Nurses, Hospital Staff Members, EMTs, Paramedics, and Medical and Scientific Researchers who have contributed and  committed their lives to the advancement of western medicine and patient care. 

We are thankful for you!

If it were not for western medicine, I myself might not be here due to labor and delivery problems (way back in 1985), my son might not be here due to life threatening accidents, and my nephew would probably not be alive after a life or death car accident. 

The advancements that have been made in emergency and medical care are amazing and we are blessed to have systems in place at our disposal. 

These systems are a great option in times of emergency or critical situations. 

In other areas, we look at healthcare in terms of prevention and natural remedies as a first line of defense rather than immediately running to the Doctor for a prescription. 

That is the main difference in viewpoints.

It is not however "one or the other" - we work in conjunction with western medicine and operate in an integrative manner.
