Lemon Juice & Baking Soda - Detox Drink


                                                                     As we continue to talk about ways to get rid of unhealthy toxins in our bodies, I would like to share a simple Lemon Juice and Baking Soda drink recipe:

In approximately 4 ozs. of water or mineral water (room temperature), squeeze the juice of 1/2 to 1 organic Lemon and add 1 tsp. of baking soda.

Mix well and drink on an empty stomach (first thing in the morning or right before bed are good times)

What are the benefits?

  • This mixture has an alkalizing effect on the body
  • Promotes digestion
  • Combats acid reflux/indigestion
  • Purifying to the liver
  • Regulates cholesterol levels
Precautions:
  • Do not drink on a full stomach
  • Take this mixture for two weeks on, and then take two weeks off
  • Not recommended for people with high blood pressure or heart conditions due to the high sodium content of baking soda
