Fire Element (Qualities)
The Element of Fire is where we find out self-worth, self-confidence, self-esteem, and balanced power. It brings clarity, focus, action, and vitality to our lives.
It encompasses our right "To Act".
When balanced, we are responsible, reliable, focused, enthusiastic, and able to make decisions.
When out of balance, we may be angry at self or others, have low self-esteem, be overly aggressive, have a need to be right, blame others, be controlling, be self-centered, unreliable, unmotivated, or have a lack of clarity.
Physically, the Fire Element corresponds to the digestive system, the muscular system, adrenal glands, sympathetic nervous system, head, eyes, abdomen, lumbar spine, and thighs.
If you feel like your Fire Element may be out of balance, there are some great ways to bring it back into balance, including:
- Practice forgiveness. Set aside some time to explore who you may be angry with and let go of the situation or event with forgiveness.
- Polarity exercises such as the "Woodchopper" or the "Lion Roar" which can be found in this book:
- Listen to Tibetan Singing Bowls tuned to balance the solar plexus chakra
- Repeat positive affirmations such as "I am powerful, confident, and successful in all my ventures", "I passionately live my purpose and move forward with unwavering courage", etc.
- Eat grains, legumes, and spicy foods
