Valerian for Insomnia, Anxiety, and more!

As we continue our discussion of receiving "Side Benefits" from natural remedies, (rather than side effects from synthetic medications), let's take a look at Valerian.
Valerian is a flowering perennial plant, and medicine is made from the roots of the plant/herb.

Here are some benefits we can receive from using Valerian Root:

  • Eases insomnia
  • Reduces anxiety and nervous restlessness
  • Can lower blood pressure
  • Eases menstrual cramps
  • Improves stress management
  • Treats muscle spasms
  • Treats sciatica
  • Used in ADHD treatment
  • Reduces epileptic seizures
  • Memory improvement
  • Treats hand tremors
  • Treats vertigo
  • (and more!)
So once again - if you are using Valerian to treat muscle spasms, you will still receive the "Side Benefits" of helping you get a good night's sleep, improving your stress management, improving your memory, reducing anxiety, and lowering your blood pressure.

This does not happen with synthetic medications!!

Could what we need to stay healthy and address our health challenges really be growing out in nature?  Yes!!!!

Everything we need is naturally available to us!  We just need to research, increase our knowledge, and become empowered to be our own health advocate.
