Do You Need to Detox?
In yesterday's blog, we talked about the toxins that inevitably surround us every day.
Our bodies do have systems in place to eliminate toxins, but our bodies can only take so much!
When we are flooded with toxins on a daily basis, our bodies can't keep up and the toxins begin to accumulate.
What are some signs that you may need to detox?

What are some signs that you may need to detox?
- Fatigue/Lack of Energy
- Headaches
- Bloating
- Diarrhea/Constipation
- Skin issues (eczema, psoriasis, rashes, etc.)
- Trouble losing weight
- Excessive sinus issues
- Bad breath
- Pain in the liver area
- Allergies
- Dark circles under your eyes
- Heartburn
- Joint Pain
- Muscle aches
- Acne
- (and others)
If we take measures to flush out toxins, our health will begin to return.
There are MANY ways to detox, and different methods target different areas (i.e., a Liver Flush will cleanse the liver).
Today we will talk about 3 simple and effective ways to detox.
1. JUICING!!!!!!!! Juicing fruits and vegetables is one of the most effective ways to detox our bodies. When we juice, we are flooding our bodies with clean nutrition that cleanses the entire digestive system. Depending on what fruits and vegetables we use (for example, cucumbers help detox the skin, beets help detox the blood), we can target different areas. It is also important to use fresh, organic fruits and vegetables and to drink the juice within 15 minutes of making it before the enzymes disappear. Juicing can be done every day for the rest of your life. For a targeted cleanse, juice 1-2 times a day for 14 days.

3. Herbal Detox Tea. Purchase organic herbs from a local health food market, or online (I recommend Mountain Rose Herbs). Make a tea blend of any (or all) of the following herbs: Dandelion Root, Red Clover, Nettles, Milk Thistle, Cilantro, Eucalyptus, and Alfalfa. Drink 2-3 glasses a day for 14 days.
There are many, many other ways and methods to help you detox, and your own personal detox regimen should be tailored to suit you.
