Having Trouble Letting Go?
Sometimes in life we get overly attached to circumstances, relationships, jobs, habits, or something/someone from the past.
In moderation and balance, it is healthy to have attachments, but when these attachments become constricting and dissonant, they turn into blockages and interfere with a healthy and happy life.
Sometimes we become like Uncle Rico (from Napoleon Dynamite) - living in the past and always wishing it were 1982 again!
"Oh man, back in '82 if coach had let me take that penalty kick - we'd have won State!"
Elementally speaking, being overly attached to things/people/circumstances/the past, is seen as the Water Element being Contracted (or you don't have enough of it) and out of balance.
The Water Element corresponds with the Sacral Plexus Chakra, so this chakra is out of balance as well. (to learn more about the Water Element, click on this link: http://millshealthyenergy.blogspot.com/2017/05/water-element-qualities.html
How do you bring this Element/Chakra back into balance?
Here are the top six ways:
1. Eat these foods: Green Vegetables, Melons, Squash (anything that grows 0'-2' above the ground)
2. Receive some energetic bodywork: Reflexology (feet are the negative pole of the Water Element), Reiki, Polarity Lymphatic Drainage
3. Allow yourself "To Feel". Pushing down emotions and feelings and not dealing with them causes blockages in the Sacral Plexus chakra. It may seem scary to confront your feelings, but once they are taken out and looked at in the light, they are able to resolve and be released.
4. Allow your creativity to be expressed. Whatever outlet you enjoy - take the time to create!
5. Incorporate this mantra into your daily routine: "I am authentically creating a life free of stress and full of bliss."
6. Practice Polarity exercises: "The Fountain" and "Butterfly Activation" are two of the best. (These exercises will be discussed in tomorrow's blog)
Take a deep breath, let go of whatever you are overly attached to, and begin to enjoy life again :-)
