Foot Pain? Try this simple exercise!
Our feet take a lot of abuse and sometimes we forget to treat them properly and show them some TLC.
This simple and inexpensive exercise can work wonders and bring enormous relief to your painful feet!
Step #1 is to purchase a "Pinky Ball" (as seen in the picture), or another similar type of ball.
Pinky Balls can be found in stores such as Five Below or other discount stores that carry children's toys. They typically cost around $2 each.
Step #2 is to place the ball on the floor, and while standing (holding onto a chair or table for balance if needed), try these suggested exercises:
a. Place ball under center of foot; lift off heel and roll on to ball, pressing ball into all areas of sole: heel, arch, ball of foot, toes, sides of foot
b. Place ball in center of arch, with heel on floor; lift heel, roll over ball on to toes; roll back over ball to heel; continue rocking back and forth between heel and toes, moving from center of foot to medial then lateral sides
c. Place ball under one foot and lift other foot off the floor; using full body weight, begin bouncing on ball; move ball around to all areas of foot
You can do this while watching television or at any time of the day that you have a few spare moments.
You will LOVE the relief you feel and your feet will thank you.
