PREVENTION IS KEY!
What can you do to prevent kidney stones?
1. Drink PLENTY of water every day (at least 70 ounces)
2. Watch your salt/sodium intake (one of the best ways to do this is to eliminate processed and fast foods)
3. Eat less red meat (or none at all)
4. Eat more calcium rich foods (such as low-fat cheese or yogurt)
So what do the above four preventative measures have in common?
They involve taking care of what you put into your body!
Most of our "common" health concerns could be eliminated if we made the effort to increase our food awareness and water intake.
