Why ask Why?
Have you ever spent time with a young child who literally asks "Why?" every 20 seconds?
Sometimes adults tend to find this annoying, but in reality it is an amazing learning tool that children use in order to expand their knowledge of their environment, the world, people, relationships, objects, feelings, motives, how things work, reasons, ideas, sights, smells, tastes, and anything else that is around them or going on.
What if we, as adults, were as inquisitive?
I think we would find life much more interesting, and maybe even be able to live more peaceably with those around us.
Adults tend to get stuck in "ruts", think the same mundane thoughts over and over, and limit their worldview to their own small environment.
The world is full of fascinating people, places, ideas, innovations, hobbies, challenges, and beauty - take time to go and explore!
Meet someone new, tighten your relationships with people you already know, have real and honest conversations where you ask them "Why?" because you are truly interested in what makes them tick (Don't ask "Why?" in an accusatory fashion).
Get different answers from different people and form your own opinions.
I think young children have it right - it's time to expand who we are and keep asking "Why?"!
