Natural Ways to Alkalize your Body

In yesterday's blog we talked about the importance of keeping your body in an alkaline state in order to prevent sickness and disease.

Today we will look at a few natural ways to get your body (tissues and fluids) into that proper pH level of 6.5-7.5

The #1 most important way to get healthy, stay healthy, and alkalize our bodies is to eat wholesome fruits and vegetables!

Our bodies needs fuel to function, and whatever "fuel" we consume is going to determine the outcome of how we function (healthy or sick).

The top five alkalizing foods are:

  • Lemons
  • Watermelons
  • Apples
  • Leafy Greens
  • Cayenne Peppers
Making a fresh juice in the morning can get your body back into balance and help ensure a better day.  Here is a great alkalizing juice recipe:

1 Cucumber
1 Stalk of Celery
1 Green Apple
Handful of Spinach
1/2 inch piece of Ginger Root

Other measures that need to be taken in order to stay alkaline are:
  • Do not eat any processed foods
  • Drink alkaline water and herbal teas only (eliminate sodas and caffeine)
  • Eliminate sugar from your diet
  • Eliminate meat from your diet
  • Eliminate dairy products from your diet
  • Eat colorful salads and as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible
  • Exercise and break a sweat to keep your body systems moving
  • Incorporate healthy de-stressing habits into your everyday life
